CAD Technician (Full-Time):
We
are seeking a highly organized and talented CAD Technician to join our
growing engineering firm. In this position, you will utilize AutoCAD
Civil 3D, under the direction of a Professional Engineer, to develop
plans and other drawings for permitting, concept planning, zoning,
platting, and construction of civil engineering projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares detailed construction drawings, topographical profiles and related maps and specifications used in planning and construction of civil engineering projects using AutoCAD / Civil 3D software
- Reviewing rough sketches, drawings, specifications and other engineering data received for the preparation of drawings.
- Prepares detailed drawings of plans related to the design of roads, culvert, fresh water supply, sewage disposal systems, traffic engineering and various other engineering design items
- Measures and calculates quantities of bid items for use in estimating project costs
- Responsible for organizing drawings that conform to CAD standards as required by client and/or company processes
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; CAD Certification preferred
- Previous experience as a CAD technician
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD software
- Ability to read and translate plans and technical drawings.
- Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and to grow with the company
- Flexibility and the ability to prioritize new tasks as they come in

Student Intern (Paid)(Part-Time):
Position Description:
We are always seeking student interns. Under the
supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer and using AutoCAD
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Software, interns help produce
illustrations/drawings/construction plans from specifications, source
control drawings, sketches, models, and verbal instructions for a
variety of civil engineering design projects, including: land
planning, site developments, and water/ sewer/ storm utilities. In
addition, will help ensure that firm operating and cost efficiencies
are obtained, quality standards are achieved, and customer delivery
deadlines are met.
Position Requirements:
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
- Proficient computer skills, including AutoCAD, Windows Operating System(s), Word and Excel, Internet
- High attention to detail and results
- Able to work with limited supervision
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Engineering/Architectural Undergrad Student
- Must have a valid Driver’s license and second form of picture ID (Student ID preferred)
Work Schedule:
15-20 hours per week, Monday-Friday
(Saturdays are possible). Flexible for class schedules, Minimum 2-hr
work sessions. Total number of hours worked depends on firm’s work
load.
